I've been a single guy now for longer than I had planned; according to my plan I'm about 4 years behind. Anyway, being an avid journal writer, I thought that my future kids might benefit more from my experiences and what I learned if I made an effort to capture them and communicate them as they happened, rather than have them hearing a bunch of 'when I was your age...' stories that go in one ear and out the other. And since weaknesses run in families, I'd share my own and tell them what to watch out for, written for their age.
My plan is to give them one letter at every birthday, and also significant events, like graduation, weddings, Nobel Prize acceptances, etc.
I think I'll write a few letters to my future wife as well to give to her on our honeymoon; seeing as how I haven't met her yet, or if I have, don't know it.
I may actually do this. Should I put it on www.fullbakery.com?
